FUNNY LITTLE TURN
“Where do we go for our annual trip?” Sakina asked excitedly.
“Casablanca,” chimed Afiya as usual.
“Fes,” argued Sakina as usual.
Zahra kept quite as usual. She went wherever her friends decided.
The girls were talking nineteen to dozen while Zahra drove quietly.
Afiya shouted, “We missed the turn to Casablanca, Z.”
Zahra smiled.
“Good, now we can go to Fes instead,” teased Sakina.
After a few hours, “Zahra, we missed Fes too. Where are we going?”
In the evening, the girls, sprawled on the desert sand, were marvelling at the sky full of stars.
So long as they can find their way back, a nice adventure!
In the end everywhere is connected to everywhere else
So true Neil.. All places are connected with each other
beautiful ending!
Sometimes, those “destinations” are not all that we make them out to be. A holiday is defined by experiences, not places.
True that varad, holidays are about experiences and not places
True that varad, holidays are about experiences and not places.
And. the girls will have an experience of their lifetime.

Typical girls gang 🙂
This just may be the best spot ever.. Very nice write!
Thank you violet. An excellent spot indeed
I am sure they will all be happier for Zahra’s “wrong” turn. Nice write.
Yes the wrong turn turned out to be a nice surprise. Thank you
Zahra got her own way by keeping quiet – nice one!
Yes clever she was, wasn’t she?? Thank you
Some detours are worth it! Loved this one!
Yes absolutely and they will have a better experience for that. Thank you
Dear Anshu,
In the end they probably had a better time than anticipated. Nicely done.
Shalom,
Rochelle
Thank you Rochelle. Yes they should probably have a better time
Lovely double happy ending, with Zahra at last asserting herself, and a trip to an unexpected and most beautiful place. I enjoyed your story!
You got it Penny. Yes she asserted in her own way.
Zahra is a smart one. She didn’t need to argue with her friends, just offered to drive and it seems her friends enjoyed the end result. Nicely done!
True that. Quiet ones are the cleverest..they don’t need to speak and argue, just act at the right time.
Zahra turns out to be the strongest, after all 🙂 Lovely story.
True Linda. She is the strongest
Way to go Zahra!!
I hope they all found this peace.

Oh what a great place to end up… probably the stars will beat the citylights
Absolutely nothing like stargazing
Hope they have a vacation of their lifetime. Is Zahra hiding a secret?
They had Priya..she knew what she was going to do all along. She had had enough of being bossed around.
Someone took charge finally. Instead of arguing about Casablanca or Fes, they are now enjoying desert under skilful of stars.
Yes she finally took charge. And had lots of fun too.
This time Zahra was determined to take the girls to a place she wanted to…and she did it so quietly without a fuss!
Yes absolutely.. Instead of arguing and being turned down, she realized this was a much smarter way
Looks like keeping quiet works well for Zahra. Good story, its effectiveness is in its simplicity.
Thank you so much. Yes being quiet works better for some people.
As much as I love both Casablanca and Fes, I reckon they’ll have a far more relaxing time in the desert!
